Job Summary :

The General Surgeon is responsible for providing high-quality surgical care to patients, including pre-operative assessment, surgical intervention, and post-operative management. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, ethical, and patient-centred care.

Key Responsibilities
1. Diagnose and manage surgical conditions requiring operative intervention.
2. Perform elective and emergency general surgical procedures.
3. Conduct pre-operative evaluation and obtain informed consent.
4. Provide post-operative care and monitor patient recovery.
5. Manage surgical emergencies promptly and efficiently.
6. Participate in outpatient consultations and inpatient rounds.
7. Coordinate patient care with physicians, anaesthetists, nurses, and other specialists.
8. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and medical records.
9. Adhere to hospital policies, infection control practices, and patient safety standards.
10. Participate in clinical audits, CME programmes, and quality improvement initiatives.
11. Support community outreach programmes and health camps conducted by the hospital.

Qualification:
MBBS with MS/DNB in General Surgery.
Valid State Medical Council registration.
